Vancouver’s award winning chamber orchestra, Turning Point Ensemble, is offering an opportunity for up to four young composers to develop new work with the 16 member ensemble and its conductor/Artistic Director – internationally renowned composer Owen Underhill. The selected composers will be chosen by a jury of established Canadian composers, and depending on their age category (14-18, or 19-26) awarded prizes of $500 or $1500 plus a contribution for travel expenses to attend the reading sessions that will be part of the development process.
